1. Agreement to These Terms

By visiting this website, creating a community profile, joining the reading challenge, or signing up for an event, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

These terms sit alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.

2. Membership and Profiles

Membership of The Boundless Chapter Club is free and open to readers aged 16 and over. Some pages, including individual book pages and event collections, require you to create a community profile with your first name, last name, and email address.

You agree that the details you give us are true and are your own. One person may hold one profile. Your first and last name will appear in our public member directory. You may ask us at any time to remove your name from that directory.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials private and for everything done through your account.

3. Community Conduct

This club exists for warm, thoughtful conversation about books. When posting reviews, discussion replies, or messages to other members you agree not to: harass, threaten, or abuse anyone; post hateful, discriminatory, or sexually explicit material; spam, advertise, or solicit; impersonate another person; or share other members' private information.

Criticism of a book is always welcome. Personal attacks on an author or a member are not.

We may edit, hide, or remove any content that breaks these rules, and we may suspend or close an account, with or without prior notice, where conduct is serious or repeated.

4. Your Content

You keep ownership of the reviews, comments, and other content you post. By posting it here you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, store, and reproduce it on this site and in club communications, for as long as you keep it posted.

You confirm that anything you post is your own work or that you have the right to share it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's copyright.

5. Author Features and Applications

Authors may apply to be featured. Applying does not guarantee a feature. Selection is at the discretion of our curators and is based on editorial fit with the reading challenge and our members' interests.

We do not charge authors for a review, a rating, or a favourable opinion. Reviews published here reflect the honest views of the reader who wrote them.

Where a book is provided to us or to our members as an advance copy, that does not oblige anyone to publish a positive review.

6. Events and Reading Challenges

Event sessions, seasonal collections, and challenge lists are provided for the enjoyment of members. Signing up for an event means we may contact you about that event. Line-ups, dates, and titles may change, and an event may be rescheduled or withdrawn.

Exclusive collections, such as our Q4 Book Feast titles, are made available to registered members only and are not for redistribution.

7. Books, Covers, and Third-Party Material

Book covers, descriptions, and bibliographic details shown on this site come in part from public sources such as Open Library, and from publishers and authors. Copyright in those covers and texts belongs to their respective owners and they are shown here for the purpose of identification, review, and recommendation.

Links to external booksellers, prize bodies, libraries, and trade organisations are provided for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.

8. Our Intellectual Property

The club name, logo, written editorial content, curation, page design, and collections on this site belong to The Boundless Chapter Club. You may share links to our pages freely. You may not copy, republish, or resell our editorial content or member data without written permission.

9. Availability and Disclaimers

We work to keep the site available and accurate, but we provide it on an "as is" basis. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error free, or that book information drawn from third-party sources is complete or current.

Nothing on this site is professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Boundless Chapter Club and its moderators and curators are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site, from content posted by members, or from dealings with third-party sites we link to. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Ending Your Membership

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. On closure we remove your profile from the member directory; content you posted in shared discussions may remain where removing it would break the thread, unless you ask us to remove it.

12. Changes and Governing Law

We may update these terms as the club grows. The date below shows when they were last revised, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
